We are situated in the borough of Castelvetro di Modena, in opne countryside yet only 2 km
from the centre.

The town is of roman origin with occasion rebuilding and modification, today boasting a
castle/historic centre of the 17th century and surrounded by hills rich with vineyards which
produce the local table wines of the lambrusco family. Every year in September the town
celebrates the Sagra (Festival) of the Wines and the Dama Vivente (living draghts competition on
the giant chess board in the castle piazza).
Among the different festivals and cultural/social events are various wine and food events and
the Mercurdo – the festival of the arts celebrating the absurd – bi-anually in June.
